Can we drive our RV from where we are staying at Fort Wilderness to one of the Theme Parks? I know they have RV parking at the theme parks, but are they only paid lots or can we park for free while using our Fort Wilderness Camping Pass?

Hi Angie! I am actually at Disney right now enjoying a stay in our motor coach in Fort Wilderness.

Each car and your RV will get a parking sign for the window. Most guests never take their RV off the site due to the hook-ups and the work involved in all of that. If you choose to move your vehicle then you will still have the sign which would allow you to go to the parks with it. The RV parking is not close up or convenient so be prepared for a lot of walking. Fort Wilderness has wonderful bus service to all parks and that is be far more convenient and quick.

If you are thinking about driving the RV to a park on your last day most Fort Wilderness guests simply move from their site and park it in the temporary lot near the guest check-in building. You can keep it there all day until you return from the park and drive home from there. Obviously this is a personal decision but it is very convenient to park then simply hop on the park buses from the bus area which is next to it.

Enjoy and we might meet at Fort Wilderness in the future!
