Is there a dress code for LeCellier and California Grill? We have ADR at approx 7PM. I don't want to lug dress shoes, suit, etc unless we absolutely have to. Can you wear shorts & a nice shirt?

LeCellier allows diners to enjoy their meal without having to change out of their resort touring attire. Shorts would be fine. In fact, most restaurants within the theme parks will have guests dining in shorts and Mickey shirts.

Dining at the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort does have a few restrictions. This restaurant is a special experience and part of creating that ambiance is having diners arrive in clothing that reflects the occasion.

I took a photo of the Dress Code sign that was prominently displayed by the elevator to the restaurant. In fact, this sign was nearly in the path to the elevator!

    It read:
"We respectfully request business casual attire; no tank tops, swim suits or swim suit cover-ups, hats for gentleman, cut-offs, or torn clothing of any kind."

I took a picture of the main dining room and saw many guests with young children (evident by the strollers parked in the stroller parking area prior to boarding the elevator). Looking at the picture I can see many men in khaki pants, some women in dresses but many are in more casual attire. I do not see any men in suits.

The guidelines for business casual attire are:
Men - Dress pants, jeans or dress shorts and a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt with collar is required. (Jackets optional.)
Women - Jeans, skirts or dress shorts and blouse, sweater or dress is required.

Enjoy a memorable dinner and may you have a fabulous sun set!
