    Melodie from ID Asked

Hello there! My dream since I was a little girl was to go to Disneyland! I am about to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary, & my husband said we could go to Disneyland!! I'm so excited, but not sure where to begin as far as planning. Any help?

Howdy, Melodie! We shared a similar dream growing up! I am now bursting with joy to help you plan your visit!

First, I would plan on three days or more to visit the parks. This will allow ample time to enjoy Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District. That brings me to my next suggestion; purchase park hopper tickets to have maximum flexibility while at the Disneyland Resort. Everything is really close together so hopping back and forth between the parks is a breeze.

Next, consider staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels. You will be immersed in Disney from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep, and staying at one of these hotels means the parks are mere footsteps away. Plus, Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests can take advantage of Extra Magic Hour. This grants you entry into either Disneyland Park (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays) or Disney California Adventure Park (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) an hour before opening.

Finally, make the Disneyland app your new best friend. You can look up attraction wait times, FASTPASS return times, find places to eat and make reservations, and it will even help you navigate the parks.

These suggestions are just the beginning. I would love to assist you with more questions as you plan your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
