Question-regarding the DPP. With one QS meal and one TS meal, how have other Moms filled in that third meal? For instance, if we used a TS for a nice big breakfast, and saved the QS for dinner, what about lunch? Need some ideas for third meals. Thanks!

    Hi,  Jennifer!

    This is a great question!

Except for an occasional Character Breakfast, we eat breakfast in the room as everyone is getting ready for a day in the parks. You can ship yourselves a box of non-perishables, or pack them in a suitcase for later use.  On those days, we plan our meals around reservations we were able to obtain for each day (i.e.  We love to go to Le Cellier Steakhouse for a very late lunch, since this counts as only one Table Service Entitlement.  Then, we eat a late Quick-Service dinner at Sunshine Season at Epcot or Wolfgang Puck's Express at Downtown Disney.  Both offer fantastic meals for the cost of a Quick-Service Entitlement!)

Each park has some really great snack options, which are far more filling than, say, a bottle of water.  For example, you can get an order of french fries at Magic Kingdom Park's Casey's Corner, with cheese from the fixings bar as a "snack" on the Dining Plan.  Similarly, you can get some absolutely spectacular pastries at Disney's Hollywood Studios Starring Rolls Cafe, which would make a great breakfast.

Keep in mind, too, that there may be a little treat that you might want to splurge on, which will help round out your dining options per day.  My ten-year old, for example, loves the smoked turkey legs at Walt Disney World.  However, they are not a snack, not a Quick-Service meal, either.  So, on a day when we've had a big breakfast and will enjoy a late dinner, we let him munch on the turkey leg...with help from the rest of us, of course (they are so BIG!)

Hope I've given you some ideas for making that Disney Dining Plan work to your advantage!  Send more questions as you think of them! :-)
