I am downgrading my annual passport to the flex passport, it expires 6/17. If I plan on going 6/18 do i need to make a reservation? It shows as a reservation needed day? Thanks in advance!

    Hiya, Desiree,

The new Disney Flex Passport is a great balance of value and flexibility in selecting dates to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort. You’re going to love it. And, of course, you’ll continue to enjoy the many benefits of being a Passholder.

Because your old pass will have expired by the time you purchase the new Flex Passport, it would be considered a new Passport purchase. That being the case, you should be eligible for an entry that same day, even on a reservation-only or blockout date! Another approach you might take is to purchase a regular park ticket for use that day to then upgrade to an Annual Passport before your ticket expires. If you happen to purchase a three-day ticket online, you would be eligible for one Magic Morning early entry. If the day of your park visit occurs on a regular Magic Morning day, you can take advantage of that nice benefit before upgrading your ticket. This is a nice tip that I learned from a ticket booth Cast Member. When you purchase your Annual Passport at the ticket booths, I recommend taking your old Passport card with you. You’ll be able to connect your new Passport to that same card!

I hope you enjoy having another wonderful year of magic at the Disneyland Resort. I love the convenience of linking my Annual Passport in the Disneyland app for admission to the parks. Did you know that your Passholder discount is applied automatically when using the app for Mobile Food and Beverage Orders? And from now until June 30, 2019, even Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream and Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor will offer Passholder discounts when using mobile order! My family enjoyed this limited-time benefit to save on some delicious sundaes and cones this week. It was so convenient! For merchandise purchases in Disneyland Resort shops, it's still important to have your Passholder card and ID with you in order to receive your Passholder discount.

    Have a magical time, Desiree!
