I am down to less then month-everything set-concern: FP-1 non adventurous with us-can I change my/child FP for less thrill rides & not risk losing thrill ones? FOP-if scared any way to get off once ride starts?

Hi Denise! I’m back! I am so excited you asked multiple questions - I feel like this way, we can have a “conversation!”

We are headed on our Annual Labor Day vacation to Walt Disney World just a few days after you, and I am so excited! I love this pre-planning stage, and like you, I want to make sure that everyone has a trip that is practically perfect in every way.

This spring, my daughter finally hit the height requirement for Avatar Flight of Passage. She was soooo excited! We hit the FastPass+ lane, and she was ok UNTIL we were about to climb aboard our Banshees. Then she decided that this was NOT the ride for her! A fantastic Cast Member led us to a bench outside of the simulator, and we were able to experience the attraction via an iPad. She says that now she’s seen the ride, she’s ready to try it next visit! If your less adventurous child is like my girl, I suspect a similar situation will happen. No worries, a Cast Member will escort you out before you click in. If she wants to channel Merida, and be super brave if she’s scared at any point in the ride, she can close her eyes, and the feeling of flying should quickly pass.

When you are at Walt Disney World or on My Disney Experience, you can easily change one person’s FastPass+ selection without sacrificing the rest of your party. Click on “My Plans” and then “FastPass+ Detail” for the attraction you want to change. You will find the options to cancel, locate the attraction, or modify. I would click “Modify.” This holds your place in line and will automatically filter to attractions with similar availability. Once you click modify, you can pick the people who you want to change the FastPass+ selection and go from there. When you are done, make sure to confirm the changes that you have made.

Denise, give me a few minutes to type up your next answer. See you real soon!
