We are going down for a few days in early June and I want it to be a somewhat spontaneous trip, not having to plan too much. I already realized that I need to make reservations. How over the top do I have to go with planning out our day? I feel stressed

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

For our first visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I didn't have much time for planning. As I look back, that was one of our best trips! We weren't stressed about trying to get to a ton of reservations, and we just enjoyed whatever we got to see and do. So don't stress too much. You can have a fabulous vacation without all the worry and planning.

Now with that said, there are a few things you'll need to do before going. Book your resort reservation first and purchase your park tickets. If you are staying on property, decide if you want to add the dining plan. For table-service dining, you'll need to make those reservations as soon as you can. Next, you'll need to create a My Disney Experience account and link your resort reservation and your tickets. Lastly, think about which parks you want to visit and book your FastPass+ reservations. With this service, you will select three attractions that you definitely want to visit for each day of your vacation, and you'll have a designated time to be there. Once you are in the park and have used all three of them, you can add additional ones throughout the day even if you are park hopping to another park. If you download the My Disney Experience app, you'll have everything right at your fingertips in the park.

This shouldn't take too much of your time and then you can sit back and think about packing! I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Wishing you a stress-free vacation!
