we will be going down to Disney World on thanksgiving and i was wondering if the park does anything special like a restaurant that serves traditional thanksgiving day food

Hi Marrissa! Thanksgiving is such a fun time in the Parks - you get to experience two holidays at once! There are actually many people I know who dine at Walt Disney World on Thanksgiving - great food and none of the clean up!

The day is so popular that The Disney Parks Blog came out with a wonderful listing of restaurants that offer Thanksgiving service and which ones are dishing out traditional "Turkey Day" fare. Head over to the official Disney Parks Blog to read that list from last year and start to plan your choice for Thanksgiving 2011. The information is subject to change of course, so the Parks Blog will probably come out with a new list closer in but it'll be a good idea to have your ADR's booked at that 180 day window.

The Disney Food Blog also has some great info if you search for "Thanksgiving" on that site.

Happy planning and Happy (really) early Thanksgiving!
