Hi Doug, Thanks for help with itinerary 8/8, Visiting Disney Dec 12-22 ADR are made. On shorter visits (7days) have always had park hopper but am thinking this time it may not be necessary. What do you recommend hopper or would base pass? Lorraine

    Lorraine,

On a longer stay you certainly gain a great flexibility of not needing a park hopper, as you have more days to hit all the parks. However, with so many days there, the desire to jump around, knowing you will always be back to whatever park you are leaving, increases.

So can you get by without it? Certainly.

However I look at it this way. With a 10 day ticket the cost of the hopper is just a bit over $5 per day. For me that added cost, while certainly one that can be avoided, is one of the more affordable things I would choose to buy.

So my advice is get it for the great flexibility that it affords. But if budget is a huge concern, yes, you can skip it.

    I hope that helps!

    Have a magical vacation!
