    Hi Doug! Just read one of your answers about tipping at Pepper Market. Isn't that a counter service meal? Are we supposed to tip at cs meals, too? Thanks!

    No, you should not be tipping at counter service meals.

    But Pepper Market is kind of a hybrid restaurant. They count it as a counter service restaurant, and you do go up to booths to order your foods. But it is in some ways like a buffet, in that you have a server that brings you parts of your order, like beverages. That is why I chose to tip on my visit there.

    But as a rule, no, you don't have to worry about budgeting for tips for your quick service (counter service) restaurants!
