Hi Doug, Quick ? (only 6 more days now!!!!!) I have DP and have reservations EVERYWHERE. Staying at BC Resort and was wondering if it was a lot quicker to hire taxi's vs. riding bus? Trying to figure if the savings in time is worth the extra $? Thanks

    Yvette,

You are so close to your vacation, you must be getting pretty excited!

Yes, renting a cab is faster than taking the bus. But I will say that, with only a few exceptions, I would just stick to Disney transportation. I think that the buses are not so inconvenient that they are not worth saving the $10 or more per cab ride that you have to add to your vacation budget. I also think that in the Beach Club resort you will find many of your meals pretty easy to get to by boating, monorailing, or walking. That certainly applies with the myriad of dining choices at Epcot area resorts, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or even the Magic Kingdom park and monorail-adjacent resorts.

The exceptions are those early breakfasts. It can be a real headache saver and tension reducer to just cab over to a breakfast at another resort or the Animal Kingdom park if you are getting nervous sitting at the bus station wondering when your bus was going to swing on by.

Best bet, however, is this. If you have it in your budget, just play it by ear. If you are feeling rushed to make a reservation on time, hail a cab and enjoy the convenience. Otherwise take a little more time and bus over. You can pocket that money to buy just one more Mickey bar or souvenir!

    Have a magical vacation!
