Doug, I have been so impressed with your thorough panel answers! Me/DH/DDs(6 &3) going to WDW 1st trip Oct 13-17,arriving at CR via ME @11am. Want to do MK on AD but all touring plans assume early entry. What would your plan look like in MK arriving @ n

    Allison,

I love the touring plans, but sometimes a visitor, especially a first time visitor, might be better off losing the plan for that very first day.

If it were me, I would go to the Magic Kingdom on your arrival day. Forget the tour plan for just that day, and savor the experience of your first visit. Don't run past the ambiance of the Main Street stores and street scene just to get to some ride. Take in the best known street in all of the world with a leisurely stroll.

From there, I would go to Fantasyland. Sure, it might be more crowded than other lands. But you are there at an optimally light time of year, so who cares? And you (like me) have two princesses that are likely attracted to all that land has in store more than any other.

And that is what I would do on your day 1. This is a momentous day for you. It should not be work, but vacation. One where you take in the park, not the plan.

Write me back if this doesn't answer your question properly!

    Have a magical vacation!
