Doug, your advice has been invaluable. One last Q (arriving in 6 days): At Animal Kingdom on 1/25. WDW pushed parade back an hour to 4:45 start (Why?) I pushed Jiko res back to 5:55, but where exactly should we watch parade from for very quick park exit?

    Kathleen,

Not sure why they changed the parade time. But I recommend that you park yourself for the parade near the Dawa bar in Africa. The parade starts just near there, and also ends near there, as it loops around Discover Island and Asia.

What this does for you is two-fold. First, you get two cracks at seeing the parade, if there is time. Second, since you want to get going to dinner, you get to see it as early as possible, and then beat a hasty retreat to the park entrance.

I also just think that the setting is better here than anywhere else to see the parade. Just like I feel that watching the Magic Kingdom parade from Main Street adds to the event's mystique through a more ideal ambiance, the park's Africa land is the ideal viewing match for this parade.

As to your exit, if you stay near the Africa-Discover Island bridge you can also get out of the park quickly too.

I hope that this reaches you in time!

    Have a magical vacation!
