I don't quite understand the QS meal substitution rules. Does it mean if I get a QS meal at any resort, I can use my refillable mug for my drink and get an additional snack with the drink entitlement part of the meal instead? Thank you.

    Hi Jill,

Wow, time's almost up! Ready to start your magical vacation?

To quickly answer your question, YES! You can now make substitutions in Quick-Service meal, part of a Disney Dining Plan. For example, you can substitute the included drink or dessert for any eligible snack at the location, as long as it's done in the same transaction. You may also substitute a full Quick-Service entitlement for 3 Snacks in the same location and same transaction, which is great if you have extra credits and rather get more snacks. Cupcakes, anyone?

During my family's last trip, we dined at Pepper Market (an awesome Quick-Service restaurant) in Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. We substituted some of the desserts and all the drinks for pastries, juices and milk, and used our Rapid Fill Resort refillable drink mugs to get our drinks. This gave us breakfast for the following morning!

We love Pepper Market, but an awesome experience that I recommend you is Be Our Guest Restaurant, which not only operates as a Quick-Service venue, but also accepts Advance Dining Reservations up to 180 days ahead. Although it's a hot ticket, keep checking as many guests adjust their plans at the last minute.

Ok, now back to packing. See you real soon!
