If you don’t put a magic band on a 2 year old how do you track them on the app

    Dear Michelle,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for lots of toddler fun while at the Walt Disney World Resort!

The MagicBands do not actually track the location of a guest in the My Disney Experience app, but they do assist if a toddler is lost. If the parents have entered their contact information, the MagicBand can be scanned by a Cast Member and contact information can be obtained. Then, parents can be easily contacted using any information that they have volunteered.

If you choose not to put a MagicBand on your child, I recommend another system in case your child is lost. In the past when my kids were younger, I would put all of their information on a luggage tag and tie that to their belt loop, just as one suggestion.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
