If I don't purchase Memory Maker can the photographer still scan your magic band for your pictures they take or do you have to get a photo pass card from them? Coming in 17 days and still not sure if I want to purchase the memory maker or not.

Say "cheese," Tammy! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Part of the magic of your MagicBand is that it can pretty much do anything. From Theme Park admission, to opening your Resort hotel room door, to entry into your FastPass+ attractions - even getting all of those precious Walt Disney World photos into your My Disney PhotoPass account, MagicBands can do it all.

And here's the really good news: you don't need to buy Memory Maker to have your photos scanned with your MagicBand. As long as your MagicBand is linked to your account, you'll have access to view and purchase your photos up to 45 days after they're taken.

The advantage of Memory Maker is that you'll own all of the photos in your account, so you won't have to choose which ones to keep and which to channel your inner Elsa and "let it go." Also, with Memory Maker you'll get the fun videos taken onboard select attractions like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Even without Memory Maker, though, you still have the option to buy your very favorite photos to remember your amazing Walt Disney World vacation. Just strike a pose and swipe your MagicBand. Easy as that.

I hope this helps as you weigh your options, Tammy. Whatever your decision, I wish you a picture-perfect time at Walt Disney World.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
