When doing rider switch in conjunction with a fast pass, do all member of the party need fast passes or just the initial riders?

    Hi Kelly!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Rider Switch is a wonderful service in which if Guests in your party can’t or don’t want to board an attraction, you don’t have to miss out! When I have used FastPass+ with Rider Switch, only the initial riders need FastPass+ reservations. Anyone not boarding the attraction does not need to make a FastPass+ selection for it.

Usually I'll make different FastPass+ selection for my littles who don't want to ride thrill rides while my husband takes my older children on the bigger rides. Then we'll switch later, and I'll get to ride my favorite attractions, too, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with the Rider Switch pass.

I hope this helps, Kelly. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a magical vacation!
