I am doing research for our next trip (2013). Traveling with 2 adults and my DD 6 and a 1 year old. We have stayed at POR twice and loved it, but was thinking about the Fort Wildernes. Which would be better with a baby.

    Hello Allison!

I LOVE doing research from my Walt Disney World Vacations...it sounds like you do as well!

I have to say that the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are AWESOME!  My family stayed there last May, and we loved it!  We had seven people in our cabin (2 adults and 5 kids - ages 11 to 1), and we really did not feel cramped at all.  With four people in your family...the cabin size is PERFECT!  The bedroom will definitely fit a portable crib, and it's nice to have another living area to hang out while you put your baby down for bed or for a nap.

The ONLY drawback about staying in a cabin is that your family will have to take an internal bus from your cabin to the main bus stop that will take you to the Disney Parks and Downtown Disney.  It did get a little old having to load and unload five kids on the busses each day.   However, I did say this was the only drawback.  We would stay here again in a heartbeat because of the scenery, the pool, and the fun activities available for the kids!

Since you have stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside two times before, I recommend staying in a Fort Wilderness Cabin!  I really think your whole family will LOVE it!

If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
