If we're doing a package and we haven't paid in full and ticket prices go up, does our package amount go up as well? And if yes, are we able to purchase the tickets at cost now and then turn it into a package later?

    Hi Christina,

So glad you are planning for your upcoming vacation. I know it would be my top priority.

A Magic Your Way Vacation Package gives you the convenience of a resort hotel reservation and theme park tickets, with the options to add some extras like Disney Dining Plans. Packages can be reserved by simply making a small deposit, and paying the balance 30 days before arrival. You do not need to purchase tickets in advance, a great benefit if you may have to cancel, since regular ticket purchases are non-refundable.

Once you make a reservation, your price will not go up if ticket or resort prices increase. However, most changes made to a reservation, may result in the new current prices to become effective. In any case, if you think you may want to take advantage of Disney Dining Plans, or apply an offer such as free dining (which requires a package), do not purchase separate theme park tickets, since you would not be able to get a refund.

Did you know that you can make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days in advance? You’re almost there, so don’t wait. Go to My Disney Experience, or the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. You can also use the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Let’s get planning and see you real soon!
