Hello! We are doing a family vacation in remembrance of my father who always wanted to take his kids/grandkids to Disney. My daughter will be celebrating her first birthday while there and I would love tips on how to make it so special for her!

Hi there, Brittany! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

A family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort sounds like an excellent way to celebrate your father's memory and share that legacy with your own children! It also sounds like you have another perfect opportunity to celebrate with your little one's first birthday, as well! I may have a few ideas up my sleeve on to make this trip as magical as possible!

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your little ones is always a fun experience! There are so many classic and new experiences, you and your family will have no shortage of fun activities to share with your daughter. If you'd like to make this trip extra special, though, you may want to consider looking into some of the many Enchanting Extras that are currently being offered! Offerings from this collection range from cake delivery to your Disney Resort hotel or a Disney dining location all the way to memorable in-room gifts delivered by Disney Floral & Gifts

The final suggestion I have is particularly adorable if your daughter has not yet received her first haircut! At Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom, little Guests can book the "My First Haircut" package that includes a haircut, special Mickey Ears, and a certificate. This is a memorable way to document another major milestone in your little one's life!

I hope this information helps you and your family have a practically perfect vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
