Doing Disney this summer before we go on a cruise. We are arriving on a Fri, plan to visit MK, Sat, and then leaving Sun morning to board ship. We have a timeshare through Interval, we can use it, or should we stay in the park? IF inside, where? Thanks!

    Hi, Kim!

It sounds like your summer vacation is going to be practically perfect in every way! My family and I have sailed with Disney Cruise Line several times, and we always enjoy spending a couple of days at the Walt Disney World Resort prior to our cruise.  In my opinion, flying in a day or two before you need to board your cruise ship is the way to go.  It alleviates so much worry over flights being on time, luggage arriving, etc.

There are so many benefits to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, so I would highly recommend you stay on Walt Disney World property when you visit this summer.  Since you will only be visiting for a short amount of time, it would be nice to stay close by, right in the middle of the magic, and make the most of your time.  Also, if you decide to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will have access to complimentary transportation, and you will be able to make FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival.

Since you are only planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park, it would make sense for you to stay at one of the resort hotels in the Magic Kingdom area.  Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are all conveniently located near Magic Kingdom Park.  All of these resorts are beautiful and have great dining and entertainment options if you're looking for something to do on the day you arrive.

No matter which resort hotel you choose, I am sure you will have a magical time!
