We have been to Disneyworld a lot but never Disneyland. If you were to go to Disneyland what is something that we should know. I feel like I am suppose to be doing something before hand but I am not sure what? reservation tips?

    Hello Mark!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Disneyland Resort is a bit more laid back as far as dining reservations than Walt Disney World. At Walt Disney World you can make your dining reservations 180 days in advance. At Disneyland Resort, that timeframe is 60 days prior to your visit. While some reservations are encouraged for places like a character breakfast at Goofy’s Kitchen, most of the time you can schedule a bit closer to your arrival or even on site.

I never can predict what my family of 3 boys will want to eat and when, so I often do walk up reservations and see what is available. If I know the boys will want to see World of Color on a particular night, I will usually do a dining package and make a reservation for one of the participating restaurants so we can do the FASTPASS for that attraction. Otherwise we do a lot of counter service restaurants.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
