Hello. We will be going to Disneyworld Apr 8th-15, is this a school break in the States?

    Hi Erin,

You must be so excited about your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. Spring is a perfect time to visit. You are likely to enjoy some beautiful weather during your stay and all of the flowers and landscapes will be in full bloom, especially at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

While there is no consistent school break schedule in the United States, with many school districts having different break periods, in general most school spring breaks will have already occurred by the time you are planning to visit. However, the more significant holiday to be concerned about during your travel dates is Easter. Most schools in the United States (and in our native Canada) will not be in session on either Good Friday or Easter Monday. Therefore, many families will choose to take vacations to Walt Disney World Resort during this time. Typically Easter is a very busy time at Walt Disney World.

I expect you will see crowds gradually increase the closer you get to the end of your trip. Therefore, I recommend that you try to do most of your Theme Park touring earlier in your trip. If you are planning a more relaxed touring day at some point during your stay, perhaps with part of the day devoted to pool time at your Resort, you may want to plan that for close to the end of your trip when the Parks will be busier.

If you haven't already done so, please consider making FastPass+ selections to optimize your touring and minimize your wait times in the Parks. Fastpass+ selections can be made 60 days in advance of your check-in date if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, or 30 days in advance otherwise.

Wishing you a Magical Disney vacation!

    Trish
