Where on Disney's site can a find, in writing, what food items are allowed in the park and whether an ice chest can be brought into the park? Thanks

    Hi Karen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I found the answer to your food question in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Walt Disney World Resort website. I think lots of people want to be prepared with what they can and cannot bring into the parks! "Guests are allowed to bring food items—such as snacks or foods that do not require heating—into Disney theme parks. Inform a Security Cast Member of any food items when you enter the park."

Ice Chests or Coolers are covered under the Park Rules. Under "Prohibited Items" you will find "suitcases, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61cm x 38cm x 46cm.) I think you can stay within those dimensions and still have room to bring in food. When packing your cooler, please note that glass containers are also on the prohibited list.

Karen, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
