    Sarah from NY Asked

Do the Disneyland resort hotels provide cribs for infants?

Greetings, Sarah, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re here!

There’s nothing as magical as spending a vacation at the Disneyland Resort and one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels! Whether you enjoy the warm elegance and Craftsman-style of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, or the modern sophistication and classic Disney nostalgia of the Disneyland Hotel, or the surf-inspired vibes of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, you simply can’t go wrong with any of the three Resort hotels.

I’m happy to report that yes, the Resort hotels usually carry a limited-number of full-size cribs upon request. As the mom of three Mouseketeers who never slept well in a traditional Pack ‘n Play, I have asked for a crib several times at the Disneyland Hotel, and have always received one. Since the quantity of full-size cribs is limited, I’d recommend making a notation of your request on your reservation by calling (714) 956-6425 or (714) 956-MICKEY. In addition, I normally call the day before my arrival to check on availability again, since cribs are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. If a full-size crib isn’t available, you’ll be offered a Pack ‘n Play, which is another good option for your little one. I usually bring my baby's favorite blanket to cuddle with to make the crib as comfortable and familiar as possible!

You may also choose to rent a full-size crib from an outside company that works with the Disneyland Resort, such as the Traveling Baby Company, and they can drop off a crib on your day of arrival, and set it up inside your room. They also offer other kinds of rentals, including stroller rentals. Or, you can always rent a stroller from the Disneyland Resort, just outside the Main Entrance gates of Disneyland Park. The Resort offers a single, jogging-style stroller, in addition to a tandem-style double stroller for daily rental.

Once you’re ready to begin your adventures inside the theme parks, you’ll want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers – there’s one inside each park. Inside Disneyland Park, you can find the Center at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and in Disney California Adventure Park, the Center is on Pacific Wharf. I’ve been using these Centers for the past seven years to feed, change, and nurse my little ones. There are also vending-style machines selling baby necessities, such as diapers, wipes, formula, and even sunscreen.

I hope this helps you plan your magical getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
