We will be in Disneyland Monday October 24 -25th. Does the parks close early on these nights? Do we only get to see the parade and fireworks IF we have the special tickets? Should I get park hopper ticket so we can go to one park when the other is closed?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is scheduled for Monday, October 24. Disneyland Park will close early for the General Public at 6 PM, but Disney California Adventure Park will be open a bit later. (The official park hours have not been posted yet) Looking at the current park hours on the Disneyland Resort website, my guess is that Disney California Adventure Park may be open until 8 PM. I’m not certain if your plan is to enjoy each park per day, or whether you’ll have a Park Hopper during your two days. If you opt to do one park per day, I’d recommend spending Monday at Disney California Adventure Park since Disneyland Park will close at 6pm. I personally enjoy the flexibility and convenience of hopping between both parks. So the choice is totally up to you!

During Mickey’s Halloween Party, there will be a special Ride of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, followed by the Frightfully Fun Parade. Later, Halloween Screams Fireworks will light up the skies for Partygoers to enjoy. These nighttime spook-taculars are only available during Mickey’s Halloween Party.

At this time, there has not been any announcement as to which nights Main Street Electrical Parade will be showing at the Disneyland Park. I suggest checking back on the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland Resort website for more information as it gets closer to your arrival date.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Lisa. Please visit us on the Panel again for more vacation planning tips and ideas.

    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
