Hi! I am going to Disneyland in May (just adults, no kids) and would love to hear what you feel are the most important tips & strategies for getting the most out of my vacation. I have been before, but one of my friends hasn't. Than! : )

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Pam. How fun that you'll be doing an adults-only trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

I see that you'll be arriving around mid-May, which historically has been a slower time at the parks since schools are in session. Lines for rides, character meet-and-greets, and dining will be shorter. My husband and I have enjoyed no-kid trips to the Disneyland Resort and loved how easy it was to park-hop with no strollers, potty breaks, and nap times!

Do you enjoy thrill rides? On a trip without little ones in tow, this is a great time to hop on California Screamin', or sway in a swinging gondola on Mickey's Fun Wheel. Try riding Radiator Springs Racers and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at night, as both are beautiful after dark.

As the Disneyland Resort dazzles during its Diamond Celebration, why not check out what it was like 60 years ago on a "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" guided tour. Be sure to commemorate your special trip with group photos at iconic locations throughout both parks. There are numerous Disney PhotoPass photographers, but selfies are just as fun too! I especially love SnapChat's geofilters of Disneyland Resort.

Looking for a great lounge to hang out? Cove Bar in Paradise Pier and Carthay Circle Lounge are neat places to grab cocktails and appetizers. Downtown Disney's Uva Bar, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, and Voodoo Lounge at House of Blues are also fun places to gather.

I hope this information is helpful as you gear up for your adults trip in May, Pam. I wish you and your friends an unforgettable time at the Happiest Place on Earth. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have further questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
