We are going to Disneyland in late July. The website is showing all Toontown attractions as "schedule unavailable" then. Is there a refurbishment or event happening in the area at that time? I really hope it will be open as we have a 1 year old.

Hi there, Scott! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Mickey’s Toontown is one of my favorite areas of Disneyland Park and an absolute must-do for my daughter. The entertainment calendar is typically populated about 30-45 days in advance, but I have found that certain attractions and entertainment offerings lag a bit behind. Typically, show times for Frozen – Live at the Hyperion aren’t posted until closer to the actual date and most of the attractions in Mickey’s Toontown show up on the schedule about 15 days in advance. I haven’t heard of any scheduled refurbishments for that area of the park so I would expect official times to be posted for your travel dates in the next few days.

You will notice that Mickey’s Toontown usually opens about one hour after general park opening and closes a little early to prepare for the fireworks. For the possibility of some extra special magic, get to Mickey’s Toontown about 15 minutes before it opens. Frequently, Mickey and/or a few of his pals come out to open this area of the park and usher Guests in. My daughter got to walk hand-in-hand with Goofy once and it remains one of my most magical memories. Other times, Mickey and Minnie might be waiting outside their houses for the first Guest to enter. So it can definitely be beneficial to show up to Mickey’s Toontown early!

If you have any other questions about your upcoming visit, please don’t hesitate to stop by again. See ya real soon!
