At Disneyland, fantasmic seems to be closed during our stay. How far in advance then do we need to stakeout a good spot to see the fireworks. And What is the best strategy to get the good spot and get food to eat eg arr there takeout options etc.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Veronica. Thanks for stopping by with more great questions for us.

I love "Paint the Night" parade and "Disneyland Forever" fireworks, and have had opportunities to view these from many different locations. Everywhere along Main Street U.S.A. and along parade route, you will have fairly unobstructed views of "Paint the Night". If you happen to be on Main Street U.S.A when the parade ends, you will have a decent spot for the fireworks that immediately follow.

I have seen folks stake out along Main Street U.S.A. as early as 4pm for the parade. Personally, my family prefers to go on rides and enjoy a nice table service dinner before nighttime spectaculars. A favorite spot of ours to view the parade and fireworks is on the terrace steps near "it's a small world". We've managed to score this viewing location about 20 minutes before parade start time. Not only is there unobstructed views of the parade, the fireworks is shot behind Toon Town nearby. The images that are seen on Sleeping Beauty's Castle during the fireworks is also projected onto "it's a small world".

If you prefer reserved viewing areas, dining packages are available at Blue Bayou Restaurant and Aladdin's Oasis. Diners at Blue Bayou Restaurant (table service) can watch the nighttime spectaculars from a reserved viewing area on Main Street U.S.A. On-the-go meals from Aladdin's Oasis include reserved viewing area near "it's a small world". Reservations are highly recommended for these dining packages as there is a limited number of viewing area vouchers available. Please contact Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE for more information.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Veronica. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have further questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
