    Claudia from CA Asked

Hi, I've never been to Disneyland during their Halloween event. I'm thinking of going with my family of 5 do I need to buy tickets for both park entrance and the evening festivities? Or is the Halloween ticket the only ticket I need?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Claudia. It's been awhile and I'm glad you've stopped by again with more questions for us.

Tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party allow Guests to enter Disneyland Park 3 hours before the start of the party. Depending on the date, Mickey's Halloween Party either lasts from 6 PM to 11 PM or starts at 7 PM and end at midnight. If you only purchase tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party, you basically get 8 hours of fun! A limited number of tickets are sold per night, meaning there'll be shorter lines for rides. Your children will have fun trick-or-treating around the park and seeing their favorite Disney characters dressed in Halloween costumes.

Of course, if you wish to start your day early at the Disneyland Resort, you can purchase additional tickets to enter the parks. One year, our family bought a one day regular ticket and started our morning at Disney California Adventure Park. We enjoyed our time there until late afternoon when we were able to enter Disneyland Park with our Mickey's Halloween Party ticket. We were then given a special party bracelet and trick-or-treating bags for our goodies.

I hope this information is helpful for you as you plan your visit during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. I wish you and your family a spook-tacular time, Claudia! Please swing by the Panel if you have further questions.

    Have a magical day,

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
