Is Disneyland discounted after a certain time?

Hi there, Chris, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! From one Californian to another, I can’t wait for you to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth!

Though the Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently offer a ticket discount after a certain time of day, there are several different ticket options to choose from, ranging from a 1-day ticket (which varies in price based on the date), to multi-day tickets, to Special Event tickets, to Annual Passports. So, if you’re planning on visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks for one day, you’ll need to select your arrival date on the calendar to view the price for that day. If you plan on visiting the theme parks for more than one day, you’ll notice the price per day decreases as your number of days increases. You can currently purchase a multi-day ticket for up to five days.

Since you’re a California resident, you may also want to check out the Southern California Select Annual Passport – it’s a great option for residents living in ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. As an added benefit, if you live within ZIP codes 90000 to 96199 and have a valid ID, you are eligible for the Monthly Payment option. Be sure to check out the blockout dates for this Passport to make sure it fits the needs of your family.

Another alternative to the regular theme-park pricing is a Special Event Ticket, which would include Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, and the popular Disneyland After Dark series of events. This year, I attended the 90s Nite in Disneyland Park, and Heroes Assemble in Disney California Adventure Park. There was also a super-cute Sweethearts’ Nite in Disneyland Park earlier in the year. What I love about these events is the awesome after-hours access to attractions with little-to-no waits, specialty entertainment, fun photo ops, yummy themed food, and unique merchandise. These events typically last about four hours, with the option to mix-in about three hours ahead. So, you typically end up with less crowds and shorter wait times on your favorite attractions – sounds like a win-win to me! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding any new Disneyland After Dark events.

Also, keep an eye on the Offers & Discounts page for additional ways to save at the Disneyland Resort. I can’t wait for you to experience your own magical getaway!

Hope to see ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
