Hello! I will be going to Disneyland with my daughters, ages 13 and 9, from October 28-November 2. This is our first trip to Disneyland, and I'm wondering how long it takes to see each of the parks? Thank you!

    Hi, April!

Welcome to the Disneyland Resort! You and your princesses are in for a real treat at the Happiest Place on Earth.

For your first visit, plan on 3 days to see everything in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I find the Park Hopper option on my tickets to be handy so my family can jump between parks. We like to take a mid-day break back at our resort for a nap or splash at the pool, then switch parks for some nighttime fun. If you do not have the Park Hopper option on your tickets, just make sure to return to the same park from earlier in the day.

To maximize your time at the parks, use Disney FASTPASS service to zip through the lines. You might also want to look into Disney MaxPass, where you can book your FASTPASS selections from the Disneyland app on your smartphone (fee per day/per guest applies to use Disney MaxPass).

Take a day off between visits to enjoy the Downtown Disney District area where you can shop, see a movie, and enjoy some great dining. You can also use this day to spend some extra time at your resort. If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, you will love the fun pool areas, perfect for some relaxation. You might even want to book a fun character meal at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Resort. Sounds like fun day to me!

Have a magical FIRST visit to the Disneyland Resort!
