Going to Disneyland CA in Feb for 1st time. My daughter is turning 9 and this is her bday present. Any suggestions on what to see and how to dress? Will it be chilly or warm? Should we get a park hopper or will one park a day be fine?

    Hi Rachel!

February is a great time to visit Disneyland Resort because typically the crowds aren’t as busy as they were for the holidays. Temperatures are typically in the 50’s and 60’s so it’s still best to bring some warmer clothes, especially if you will staying to watch the fireworks over Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland Park. The When to Visit Guide shows park hours, holidays and average temperatures to plan your trip accordingly.

A parkhopper versus a one park a day ticket is really based on personal preference. When I was there a few months ago we had park hopper tickets, but didn’t always park hop. My older boys  (15 and 10) like to only go on certain rides so they can visit both in one day, but my 6 year old likes to ride The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure over and over and over so our visits with him take a little longer and one park per day is fine.

I have to tell you something exciting! You will be visiting during FROZEN FUN! Elsa put her icy spell on Disney’s California Adventure Park. Olaf’s Snow Fest is where you can play in the snow, give warm hugs and even build that snowman! You can even travel to Arendelle and meet the famous sisters in Anna & Elsa's Royal Welcome.

I hope this helps make your daughter’s birthday magical!
