Hi! Does Disneyland still allow an annual pass first visit to be on a blackout date?

Hi there, Maria, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, especially when it means they’re joining the Annual Passholder family!

I’m pleased to report that yes, as long as you purchase your Annual Passport in person at one of the Disneyland Main Entrance Ticket Booths, or at a Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest Services desk, you are allowed park admission on the first day of your Passport purchase, even if it’s a blockout date for your Passport. Once you’ve purchased your Annual Passport, be sure to link it to your online Disney account. This way, you can easily view upcoming blockout dates and Passholder offers.

Have you decided which Annual Passport is right for you? The newest Passport being offered is called the Disney Flex Passport, and it’s a great value if you’re able to be more flexible with your schedule. Also, if you live within the ZIP codes of 90000 to 93599, you’re eligible to purchase the Disney Southern California Select Passport! And, as a California resident, you’re even eligible for the Monthly Payment Option.

Being an Annual Passholder has so many awesome benefits. From dining and merchandise discounts to special Disneyland Resort hotel offers, you never know what kind of pixie dust may fly your way! For example, Annual Passholders are currently being treated to a special Summer AP Corner near Symphony Swings in Disney California Adventure Park. Here, Passholders can join in a variety of Lion King-themed activity stations, and even purchase a special Lion King-inspired sipper cup, too!

Wishing you a year full of fun and adventure at the Disneyland Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
