We are going to Disney with 4.5 year old twins in January 2011. They will be about 37 or 38" tall. We only have two days. After magic Kingdom, which is the best park for their age and height? thanks

    Hi Meredith!

When I've taken my pre-school aged children to Disney World, after Magic Kingdom I would say their favorite park had to be Animal Kingdom. My kids LOVE animals, and there's no better place to be around animals than at Animal Kingdom. It probably doesn't have as many kid's rides as, say, Magic Kingdom, but the total experience had them smiling all day! :-)

Here is a snapshot of some of the things they enjoyed:

    • Affection Section-an animal petting zoo featuring chicken, sheep, goats, etc. They'll also take a train to get there.
    • Kilimanjaro Safari-a fun excursion into the African safari. One of my kids' (and mine) favorite rides!
    • The Boneyard-a chance to dig through the sand to find various fossils. Another top place for the kids.
    • TriceraTop Spin-What kid doesn't like to spin? But at comfortable, slow rotations.
    • Discovery Trails-walk the various trails to see wildlife.
    • Fossil Fun Games-enjoy the carnival-like experience!
    • Finding Nemo-The Musical-very well done; kids thoroughly enjoyed
Throw in the various parades such as the Jammin' Jungle Parade, and all the characters they'll get to meet throughout, and you'll see why this is a kid's favorite destination.

    Hakuna Matata!
