Mom And Daughter Resort Room

Hi, I am going to Disney World for a total of six days and want to go to all the parks and downtown disney. I am not sure when I will have time to use the waterparks. Are they worth going to?

The waterparks are one of my favorite things about Walt Disney World. We always have an amazing time when we go there. The Teamboat Springs ride at Blizzard Beach is consistently our best whole family experience at Disney. That being said, I will tell you that we didn't even try to go to the water parks until our 10th or 12th visit to WDW.

Walt Disney World is HUGE. With four theme parks, two water parks, a major shopping and dining area (Downtown Disney) and a minor shopping and dining area (Boardwalk), spas, golf courses, mini-golf courses, a speedway, the Wide World of Sport complex, dinner shows, an indoor entertainment arcade (DisneytQuest), dance clubs, horseback riding, behind-the-scenes tours, water sports, and more than 20 incredible resort hotels, it is impossible to do it all in a six day trip (or a six week trip for that matter). You absolutely have to make choices about how to spend your time. So, while the water parks are most certainly "worth going to," if you're going to do all four theme parks and Downtown Disney, it probably does make sense for you to skip the water parks for now and save this experience for another trip.

In more than 25 trips to Disney World, I still find new things to do every single time. On my trip this Thanksgiving, I'm planning to go parasailing from the Contemporary hotel. I'm excited! And veeeery nervous too.

Hope you have a great trip :-)
