Hi! We will be going to Disney World this summer. We will be traveling with 6 adults, a 4 year old and a 15 month old. How does the rider switch pass work if 1 or both of my kids cannot or do not want to ride?

    Hi Katie!

I'm excited that you will be visiting Walt Disney World this summer. I know you will be making lots and lots of incredible memories that will last a lifetime!

Can I just say how much I love the Rider Switch pass?  We were recently at Walt Disney World with some of our children and grandchildren and we were so happy that all of the adults were able to take advantage of rides and attractions even if the little ones--for any reason--couldn't. And that was all because of the Rider Switch pass! Here's how it works: Check in with a Cast Member in front of the ride. Be aware that your entire party must be present. One half of your group then rides the attraction and the other group (who remains with the children outside the ride) is given a Rider Switch pass. When the first group finishes the ride, they switch places with the second group and stay with the children as group two takes their turn on the ride. It is the perfect solution to the challenge of how to enjoy the Parks to their fullest even if there are young children in your group who will not always be riding with you. With this pass, everyone can join in on the fun! I think you will love it as much as my family does. Take a look HERE for more information on Rider Switch as well as a list of rides and attractions that offer this great feature.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help your visit to Walt Disney World be completely magical. Have a wonderful day!
