I have been to Disney World plenty of times but not Disneyland. Is there complimentary bus transportation that takes you to and from the parks to the resort.

    Hi, Lizett!

I visited Walt Disney World many times before heading to the Disneyland Resort. I was very used to taking buses, monorails, and boats whenever we headed to the theme parks from our hotel. Boy, was I surprised when I visited Disneyland Resort for the first time and found out that you WALK everywhere! That's right, 3 beautiful resorts, the Downtown Disney District, and 2 theme parks are conveniently placed together so you can simply take a lovely stroll to your destination. The longest walk you should have from resort to park is about 15-20 minutes.

Do not let the close proximity of all the fun fool you - there is so much to see and do! Plan on at least 2-3 days for theme parks, and another day to explore the resorts, lounge at your pool, and shop til you drop in the Downtown Disney District. Mickey Mouse sure has figured out how to put a whole lot of magic into this area!

Another difference between west coast and east coast is the FASTPASS system. Disneyland Resort does not use FastPass+ or MagicBands. Here, you will use the FASTPASS system (paper FASTPASS tickets at kiosks) or you can upgrade to the MaxPass where you can select your FASTPASS on the Disneyland App. (Daily fee per guest applies to use MaxPass).

Have fun exploring a whole new world at the Disneyland Resort in California!
