We will be in Disney world Orlando from Feb 4th to Feb 11th and my oldest is a diehard star wars fan and would absolutely love to meet Chewbacca can anyone tell me if he will still be available for Meet and greets or anything we are first timers so....

    Hi Penny,

Thank you for bringing another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. My girls are die-hard Star Wars fans as well. They are thrilled about all of the exciting changes coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios. At present, guests may meet Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay. Character experiences can and do change so I cannot guarantee his location for the days of your arrival. When I checked the character hours, I could find times for his appearance on February 4th, but none of the other days of your visit showed times available. I would advise you to please continue checking prior to your arrival.

There are other exciting Star Wars experiences at Disney's Hollywood Studios. My family loves Star Tours - The Adventures Continue and Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. You may use the Fast Pass+ tool to reserve a ride time for Star Tours but you must sign-up for Jedi Training at the park. I always advise guests to arrive at the park before the park opens so that you can get in line immediately. Or, you can always try to book an Advanced Dining Reservation at Hollywood & Vine prior to park opening. One adult in your party can take your children to sign-up while the other waits at the restaurant. The sign-up location is currently at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost which is very close to Hollywood & Vine. If you can get into the park before it opens, you can get in line for Jedi Training before the mad rush begins!

I do hope you have a magical time and May The Force Be With You!
