Hi, we will be in Disney World for New Year's Eve. Any suggestions on what we should do and/or see? Thank you.

    Hi, Michelle!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I can share my New Year's Eve experience with you and I hope it helps! Back in 2014, my kids and I spent the entire New Year's Eve (16 hours total) at Magic Kingdom Park. We made sure we stayed at the park all day because the park is known to close to visitors when it hits a certain capacity limit.

Our day was focused on riding as many rides as we could during the day, eating delicious snacks and ramping up our playtime with Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. We reserved a table-service dinner so we could have a little down time before the long night. We also saved our FastPass+ times for the night when we knew the crowds would be intense.

And intense is a good word for the crowds. We decided to not camp out on Main Street U.S.A. Instead, we enjoyed a dance party in Frontierland and rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad a couple of times. And then, at midnight, we enjoyed the most spectacular fireworks experience of our lives. It was remarkable. We still talk about it.

I would recommend being flexible about your activities for the day. Be sure to take the time to giggle and dance as you experience an unforgettable New Year's Eve celebration!

Let me know if I can help with any additional questions!
