We will be at Disney World for New Years Eve. 3 adults and two boys 6 and 13 ( very different interests Lol)what park would be Best for New Years Eve? We are doing Be My Guest Lunch at 2:00 will be willing to go to Hollywood Studios? or just stay

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Danielle! As a mom of boys of varying ages, I can assure you that your guys are going to have a fantastic time ringing in the new year with Mickey! I'd be happy to help you with your Park touring strategies, to ensure your trip is a blast!

I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that New Year's Eve is one of the busiest days of the year at Magic Kingdom Park. Although I'm usually a proponent of Park hopping, this would be the one time I'd advise against it. Try to arrive at the Park early, and by midday, you'll be ready for a break.

Lunch at Be Our Guest is a Quick Service meal, but the restaurant is lovely and an excellent place to rest your feet. I prefer to dine in the West Wing, which is the smallest and most intimate of the dining rooms where you can see the portrait of the Beast transform as the thunder claps and the rose petals drop. The Braised Chicken is hearty and delicious, and it will fuel you up for the festivities ahead. I've heard a rumor that you should try the Grey Stuff (The Master's Cupcake), it's delicious! However, my personal favorite is the Lemon Meringue Cupcake.

After lunch, you'll need to decide which fireworks show you want to attend. Typically, the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks are shown at 6:30 PM and at 11:50 PM. As hard as we try, it's so hard to stay up till midnight (this is mainly because of me)! Whichever show you decide on, start staking out your viewing spot a couple of hours ahead of time, and don't forget to pack warmer clothes for the evening. The spectacular show features songs from Disney films, including Peter Pan and Aladdin, as well as favorite songs from attractions like "it's a small world" and The Haunted Mansion. The best part is the countdown with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy when the fireworks look like numbers in the sky.

I hope your trip is filled with magic, Danielle!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
