hi going to disney world may 3 for a week and doing a split stay, wilderness lodge for 2 nights with dining plan and animal kingdom lodge for 5 nights with dining plan, how do we transferr from one hotel to the next and also how will our dining plan work

    Hi Melanie,

I love splitting my stay between different resorts! Switching resorts is very easy. On the day that you are transferring, you will call down to Bell Services and ask them to come get your luggage. You will need to be in the room when they arrive to verify that they have picked everything up. You'll simply ask them to transfer your bags from the Wilderness Lodge to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They will give you a claim tag. You can then head out and enjoy the parks for the day. At the end of the day, board a bus bound for the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Your luggage will be waiting for you when you arrive.

For the Disney Dining Plan, since you will have two nights at the Wilderness Lodge, you will have until midnight on the day you check out of that resort to use up all of those credits. Then, once you check in to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will receive 5 more nights worth of credits which you will have until midnight on your final check out day to use those credits up. Be sure to use the Wilderness Lodge ones first before you use the Animal Kingdom ones so you don't waste any credits.

If you need further clarification, simply send me a follow up question. Have a wonderful vacation,
