We will be at Disney World on May 12-18, 2019. What kind of crowd level and weather should we expect? I am a little nervous about waiting in long lines with my 4 year old.

    Hey there, Holly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in just a few months. I can certainly understand your concern; however, I have always found mid-May to be a great time to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth."

It has been my experience, that mid-May is ideal for navigating the parks since most schools are still in session. Although the weather and crowd levels can be quite difficult to predict, we've found the crowd levels to be moderate with the average temperature in the upper 80s. That being said, I do recommend getting to the parks early in order to experience as many attractions as possible before the crowds increase. During the warmer months, we've found it to be important to start our day early and then return to our Disney Resort hotel when the temperature rises and crowds bloom to enjoy a much needed nap or dip in the pool. We then head back in the early evening to experience the nighttime activities in the park.

Be sure to utilize FastPass+ service in order to decrease your wait for many of the most popular attractions.  I also recommend downloading the free My Disney Experience mobile app to your mobile device so you can manage your vacation plans, view attraction wait times and navigate the parks while on the go. Consider bringing a stroller for your daughter as the amount of walking can be a lot for little ones. Stroller rentals are also available at the theme parks.

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Holly. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any new questions that may arise. Best wishes for a magical trip!
