We will be at Disney World the last week of November. A week before my daughter turns 3. As a 2 yr old she is free to get into the parks.. what kind of documentation do I need and when will I show it? Can she still ride slow moving rides? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chelsea!

Thank you for sending us your excellent question. The excitement you feel for your quickly approaching Walt Disney World Resort vacation is palpable! As the mom of two little ones, I know how fun it is planning those “last minute” magical details.

I have visited the parks dozens of times with my tiny Mouseketeers. They both started visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks as young as 4 months old! In fact, I encourage all parents to visit Walt Disney World Resort when their children are under 3 years of age in order to take advantage of the free theme park admission (and dining) available for some of Mickey’s most special little Guests.

You will not need to show any documentation in order to enter the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks with your daughter. My older daughter has always been very big for her age. During one of our visits when she was two and a half years old, we had a Cast Member ask us if she was 3 and under when we did not provide him with a theme park admission ticket. I simply answered "yes" and entered the theme park with her. No further questions asked and no documentation needed. If it gives you peace of mind to carry documentation, I would suggest making a copy of her birth certificate and carrying that with you, but please understand that it is not required.

Your daughter will be able to enjoy over 100 “any height” Walt Disney World Resort attractions. Within these any height attractions are some of the most popular and iconic attractions and rides. The vast majority of rides at Walt Disney World are appropriate for and designed with Guests of all ages in mind.

Chelsea, if you have any other questions please visit the Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you.
