We are going to Disney world In July 18 we are staying off site and have a rental car . What’d better to pay for things cash or card debit / credit ?and is it safe ? And is it advisable to get magic bands

    Hi Isabel!

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is so exciting, but of course you want to be prepared to pay for all of those wonderful experiences, souvenirs, and foods while you're there!  My husband and I always use a credit card when we visit.  Not only does it make it easier to keep up with where we spend our money (instead of having to look back through receipts), but it is also really convenient to not have to fumble around with cash.  Plus, we are able to get points back on our credit card that we can use on our next vacation!  We have never had any issues with using a credit card or a debit card at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Speaking of ease of use, MagicBands are a great, no-hassle way to make purchases during your magical vacation if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.  Unfortunately, since you will not be staying on property, you won't be able to use MagicBands to make purchases.  That being said, you can still use them to enter the parks (with valid theme park admission), to connect Disney PhotoPass Photos to your My Disney Experience Account, and to check in for your FastPass+ selections!

If you are interested in purchasing MagicBands, you can do so at various locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, on ShopDisney.com, or on the Shop Disney Parks website or mobile app.  There are so many adorable designs from which you can choose, so I'm sure everyone in your party will be able to find something absolutely perfect!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
