We are going to Disney World in July and I would like to have snacks/drinks available for my 2yr. old. I found out that you can bring your own cooler inside the parks, but I am not sure what size the cooler has to be?

    Hi Tiffany,

The easiest thing to do here, is for me to list all of the items that are not allowed to be brought into the parks:  Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:
    • Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Weapons of any kind
    • Folding chairs
    • Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
    • Pets (unless they are service animals)
    • In Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted.

I will bring my standard size backpack with me and inside I will carry my daughters medication for her asthma, a small cooler filled with some snacks for the day and some juice boxes and bottled water as well as a spare set of clothes for her...just in case!.  This seems to get us through a whole day at the park without having to buy a lot of snacks there and in turn she gets to spend some extra money on a few more souvenirs instead.

    Have a wonderful vacation.
