We are going to Disney World this July (parents, brother & wife, nieces (19, 8, & 4 yrs), husband & 3-mo son (still nursing). Any tips for handling the Magic Kingdom with a 3-mo-old? Any particular type of stroller or other equipment I should b

    Hello Stephanie,

Your adventure awaits and I love that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with such a great group of people!

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with how much you can do with a baby at Magic Kingdom park. I recommend bringing a stroller with you if possible. This will help with napping and getting around the park, but also serves as a place to carry anything you need to have on hand. Along with diapers and essentials, we love throwing in a few bottles of water and snacks, which really come in handy when nursing.

If you have one, I also recommend bringing a baby carrier. It's not a requirement, but many of the calmer attractions will allow you to ride while holding your baby. I always liked the convenience of baby-wearing when going through the queues because strollers must be left outside the attractions.

All restrooms are equipped with changing tables, but you will definitely want to make use of the Baby Care Center, located just off Main Street, U.S.A. There, you will find a private nursing room with rocking chairs, a changing room with a unisex bathroom, a kitchen and even an on-site shop in case you forget anything. The Baby Care Center is also a great place to get away from the crowds if you need a break.

Another place I love to relax is in the ample (and shaded) seating area under the circus tent at Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station in Storybook Circus. This is a great place to rest, enjoy a drink and even charge your phone if needed.

With a little planning in advance, you will set yourself up for a wonderful family day at Magic Kingdom park. Wishing you a magical trip, Stephanie!
