We will be at Disney World Jan.23-Jan. 27. The weather says mid 70's but cloudy. How do we dress for that? Do we need warmer coats for the evenings? Also, is it worth using the extra magic morning hours this time of year?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

One of the wonderful reasons to visit Walt Disney World Resort in late January is the fact that crowds are usually fairly light, as they are projected to be during your trip. The only downside to that is that you often experience cooler weather that normally isn't associated with Central Florida.

The key for dressing is to have layers available. Mornings and evenings will be a bit chilly and if it's cloudy during the afternoon, you may want to have a jacket then, too. My go-to outfit for those types of days would be jeans, long-sleeve shirt and a jacket for morning/evening. My teenage boys would probably wear shorts, t-shirts and have a sweatshirt for colder times of day. They never seem to be cold!

As for using the Extra Magic Hours in the morning of your trip, I think that's a personal choice. It's always worthwhile to be there during the extra hours. Even in the busiest of seasons, it's surprising how many attractions one can visit in that hour. However, as stated before, I have teenage boys. They don't like to get up early, but love staying late. So, our plans usually don't include the morning Extra Magic Hours, but we do take advantage of the evening ones. When the boys were little and up with the sun, we hit the parks hard for those extra hours in the morning!

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
