We are going to Disney World in December from the 13th to the 20th. I am wondering about crowds, weather, and anything else you have to offer. This is our second trip and we are so excited. We have a 5 and 1 year old boys. Any advice is appreciated!!!

    Hi there, Melody!

You've picked a perfectly wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort. Holiday decor abounds, the festive spirit fills the air, and even at Disney, the holidays make the atmosphere just a little bit more magical.

The weather is, without a doubt, perfect. The average daytime high temperature is around 73F, while nights cool down to an average of (a brisk!) 50F. Rain is minimal during the month, so expect dry, sunny, cool days.

Crowd volume is definitely something to consider when you plan your itinerary. At holiday time -including the week before Christmas - you'll find Disney World very busy. However, the pleasant weather and beautiful decorations make the experience much more doable. On a 10-scale, you'll likely not see crowd levels below a 7 or an 8 on any given day in the Parks.

But armed with that knowledge, you can tweak your trip to maximize your time. Check out sites like TouringPlans.com, which use historical data to predict future attendance. You will be able to see, in general, what the levels look like.

And remember to go easy on yourselves. Particularly during one of the busy seasons, you'll find that it's likely not possible to see absolutely everything. Make sure you prioritize your must-dos, and that will help you hone your trip down to ensure that you see that which is most important to your travel party.

Build in a little down time every day. The pools at the Resorts are all heated, so you might take advantage of that to take a mid-day dip. The baby will likely need to nap at some point, and that's a great time to relax in your Resort room or poolside, allowing a little decompression time.

If you'd like, let me know where you're staying, and some must-dos for your party. I'd be glad to help you tune up your trip to get the most out of your stay.

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
