We are going to Disney World for my daughter's first birthday.  We were going to order a cake at Publix. Are we allowed to bring the cake in the park? And do they have princess dresses in size 18 months? Also can she do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Hey, Lauren! What a wonderful way to celebrate a first birthday for a very special princess! Yes, you can bring food into the parks. I suggest that you transport the cake in a cooler to make sure it doesn't get crushed or it doesn't melt before you enjoy it. Yet, consider ordering one from WDW and have it delivered to your table at the restaurant where you'll  be celebrating. You can order a variety of styles of cakes at different prices by calling 407-827-2253 or by customizing your celebration on the site. You can specially order one 48 hours or more in advance, or you can be spontaneous and request a cake when you are seated at most table service restaurants at WDW. I really think that you'll be pleased with the cake and even more pleased with the ease of the details.

If you're not planning on having a table-service meal, call the phone number provided and ask if you can order a cake and have it ready at a restaurant for you to pick up on the day you're celebrating. This will streamline your birthday plans and be a sweet surprise for your little princess as well as those celebrating with you.

I have seen 12-18 month sized Disney princess costumes at WDW. However, since she is so small and won't know the difference, I suggest that you purchase her Disney princess costume online. Chances are, she won't wear it for very long, and you might be wise to spend less on her costume.

For the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, little girls must be at least three years old to participate. If you've ever had your daughter's hair cut, you understand why. It's just hard to get the littlest princesses to sit still and cooperate for the length of time needed, and frankly, to enjoy the pampering. For now, enjoy how much money she is saving you by being so easy to entertain!

Have a beautiful Alabama day and a magical vacation!
